Teamagination’s Three Key Areas of Applications and Results
1- Communication: Your team starts the exciting Teamagination action-learning by experiencing specially designed insights ending with a practical process that alters participants’ habits of communication. The result of this powerful experience is a transformation of their communication from one that is fraught with conflict, complaints, and criticism into a higher level of communication that fosters collaboration and appreciation.
2- Collaboration: With the new kind of communication your team members have experienced, and more insights and tools they get from the “Teamagination” program, they start building meaningful human connections and workable collaboration on real work challenges. People now form real teams with shared vision and cohesive action.

3- Creativity and Innovation: With the special tools, techniques, and tasks they receive from Teamagination, your team members are able to generate new ideas, powerful solutions, and solid innovation that add value to your current products and services or create totally new ones for your organization.

Why Collaboration Is Hard to Obtain at Work, and How Teamagination Helps
- Some in positions of leadership, and others in the training and development field, seem to believe that telling people to work as a team, or showing them, with some lessons and activities, the benefits of collaboration, will result in people collaborating and working as a team. After the meeting or the workshop where this order or lesson is delivered, managers and trainers get frustrated when seeing that people did not collaborate as instructed or taught. Typically, they blame people for failing to follow instructions and accuse them of “resisting change”.
- One of the sad scenarios in many team building workshops is when participants are given blocks for constructing a tower, or other childish puzzle or game that requires collaboration to complete it, and then the trainer triumphantly delivers the lesson that without collaboration the building of the tower would not have been possible. This of course is an insult to peoples’ intelligence, as it assumes that they never knew that this type of task requires collaboration to complete it.
- This type of training completely misses the point. The challenge is never that people do not realize the value of collaborating. It does not take a genius to arrive at this fact perhaps by age seven or eight. The simple fact is that people in these situations at work do not want to collaborate. The real challenge is to create the conditions within people, and in the culture, where people would freely choose to collaborate. You cannot coerce people to collaborate. They must choose to do so themselves and for their own reasons and motives. And they will not choose to collaborate with people if they don’t have a real, meaningful connection with them.
- So the formula is: Collaboration occurs between people who have formed meaningful connections. Or simply the formula is: No connection, no collaboration.
- So the question becomes: How do you enable people to form meaningful connections with colleagues at work so that they can collaborate and work as a team?
- Building upon years of experience in the fields of leadership and training, we tested and developed more effective ways to build meaningful connections between people at work. We developed a comprehensive set of related concepts, tools, tasks, and training activities that support our findings on the ways to create connections at work and included them in the Teamagination process.
